A Commitment to our Community
The School for Strings’ commitment to community service is expressed through its Start Up program, which offers an opportunity for introductory study in violin, cello or piano at a nominal cost.
The Program includes lessons, group classes and performance opportunities for students as well as instruction for parents to help them better oversee home practice.
This program is part of The School for Strings Teacher Training Program. All lessons and classes are taught by teachers in training under the supervision of senior faculty.
The Start Up Program is designed as a three-year course at the end of which students who have shown commitment to their instrumental study are invited to join the School’s Regular Program with necessary financial assistance when required.
Pricing
