Sanchie Bobrow

Sanchie Bobrow began her violin studies with Margaret Gilbert and continued her studies as an undergraduate with Joseph Kovacs.  She holds a B.A. in Music Education, with a major in Violin and a minor in Composition.  Her composition studies with Noel DaCosta lead to her pursue an M.A. in Composition from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where her main teachers were composers Hugo Weisgall and George Perle. Postgraduate violin studies continued with British violinist Ruth Waterman and Suzuki training with Louise Behrend. Ms. Bobrow has been on the violin faculty of the School for Strings since 1987. She has also served as a Suzuki Strings Coordinator at the Academy of Arts at Wagner College. Miss Bobrow is the founder and  Director of The Mighty String Demons, an ensemble of young Staten Island violinists.
